Vintage Spec 50s Wiring

This is the ultimate 50s wiring kit for Gibson guitars, making it the perfect upgrade for your Custom Shop guitar or Replica build. Many customers also use it as a replacement for actual vintage instruments. It comes fully prepared for easy installation and includes the following components:

 

-4 x CTS "'Burst Taper" 550k calibrated pots
-2 x Grey Tiger / Bumblebee / Black Beauty 0.22 uF caps by Luxe Radio
-Vintage correct tinned copper buss wire

 

With the jack assembly also includes:

 

-Switchcraft toggle switch (also with real Catalin tip)
-Vintage-correct 2-strand braided wire
-Vintage-correct PVC sleeve and spaghetti tubing
-Output jack

 

The 50s wiring configuration offers a unique advantage by preserving clarity when you roll down the volume pot, similar to a treble bleed circuit but without its inherent drawbacks. Additionally, it introduces a subtle interaction between the tone knobs and the volume pot as you turn the tone knob down, altering the response.
